A special meeting was held last night to show off proposed plans for the Ligonier Beach property. KDKA-TV reports that officials showed off development plans for the historic swimming pool park Ligonier Beach opened in 1925 but was left vacant after a flood in 2018 damaged a lot of the property. The new plans include places to play pickleball and volleyball along with a recreation center and other features. The plans were put together with input from students and other community members. Township officials said to redevelop the site, it would cost $19 million.
