Police is Mt. Pleasant have charged a man with threatening a local bank and its employees on Friday. WTAE-TV reports that local police were called out to the KeyBank on West Main Street after there were reports of a man blocking the entrance, sounding his horn and yelling at employees. The suspect, 67-year-old Harold Thomas, told police he was protesting against the bank as the tellers would not give him his money, and also threatened to hurt and kill people by poisoning the water. Employees at the Key Bank later told police Thomas had called the day before and was angry with them about how they were withdrawing his money. Thomas then allegedly told them he was going to bring a rifle to the bank. The bank then went into lockdown mode, only serving customers through its drive-thru. He is now in Westmoreland County Jail after failing to post bail.
