STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING FINANCES OF HEMPFIELD SCHOOL DISTRICT PTA

State police are investigating the finances of a Hempfield School District Parent-Teacher organization.  The Trib reports that rumors started circulating last week on social media that the group’s bank account was lower than expected.  State police public information officer Trooper Steven Limani confirmed that they were called in to investigate by school officials.  He says it will be a while before the investigation turns up any evidence of wrongdoing.
