A man awaiting trial for a 2022 break-in and arson was arrested Monday night in Greensburg. The Trib reports that 62-year-old Randy Bryner of Bovard was seen prowling around a home on College Avenue around 9:00 PM on a Ring camera. He was found hiding behind a tree. Police said he had a gun, crowbars, duct tape, several napkins and other items on his person. Bryner told investigators he had been sleeping for the past few nights in the basement of a separate home on the property, unbeknownst to the owner. A preliminary hearing has not been set for this new case. Bryner also faces charges for the fire in 2022 in Hempfield that killed three family dogs and injured two firefighters.
