A man was briefly taken into custody after he chased an Amazon delivery driver from his home in Ligonier Township to a busy intersection in Unity Township Monday night. Ligonier Valley Police said that Tim Bacco first confronted the driver of a rental van at his home in rural Ligonier Township. When he came out, the driver turned around and fled. Bacco stopped him on Darlington Road and asked him who he was, but the driver did not understand English. Bacco then drew a gun, and that started a chase that went to the intersection of Route 30 and Sharky’s Drive in Unity Township, where multiple police agencies stopped both vehicles. Police also stated that rumors of shots being fired were unfounded. Barco apologized, saying he had been robbed in the past. Amazon says the driver was not hurt and they are cooperating with the investigation.
