Greensburg Council this week passed an ordinance that would make it illegal to shovel snow back onto city streets. The Trib reports that the issue came up during the massive snowstorm in January that brought 10 inches of snow to Greensburg. Mayor Robb Bell said a lot of commercial properties were pushing the snow back out onto the street after it had been plowed. Anyone who puts snow on the street, alley or public right-of-way would pay up to $600 in fines. Councilman Randy Finfrock voted against the ordinance, calling it un-enforcable.
