A water line replacement project will start next year in New Kensington and Arnold. The Trib reports that the New Kensington Water Authority is working on bringing the lead water lines into compliance. The water authority received a $1.4 million grant and an additional $74,000 loan from PennVEST for the replacement. Any private service lines containing lead will be replaced up to the house connection.
