NYC TRUCK DRIVER ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING POLICE OFFICER

A truck driver from New York City is accused of assaulting an officer after troopers responded to a call that his truck was disabled.  The Trib reports that 47-year-old Enayat Hossain of Queens was with his truck at 2 AM in the village of Fitz Henry in South Huntingdon on Monday.  He was arrested for DUI and reportedly used a racial slur against an trooper, spat on him and kicked a seat in the patrol car.  He is charged with assault of a law enforcement officer, ethnic intimidation, harassment and related offenses. Hossain is being held on $100,000 bail at the Westmoreland County Prison.  A preliminary hearing is set for March 30th.
