In 1978 Wings released the single “With a Little Luck.”
In 1982 Iron Maiden released the album “The Number Of The Beast.”
In 2008 R.E.M. gave fans a preview of their album “Accelerate” by streaming it on the social network application iLike.
In 2012 Severe back pain kept Gregg Allman from finishing the Allman Brothers Band’s show at New York’s Beacon Theater. He left the concert 30 minutes before it ended.
In 2013 American songwriter and record producer Deke Richards died of esophageal cancer at the age of 68.
In 2020 Drummer Bill Rieflin died at the age of 59. He worked with a number of artists over his career, including R.E.M., and Nine Inch Nails.
