A woman from Mississippi was sentenced to house arrest and probation for killing an elderly woman in a collision outside the Delmont Wal-Mart.
The Tribune-Review reports that 49-year-old Wendy Shumaker pleaded guilty to one count of vehicular homicide and several summary traffic offenses. She was accused of running over 82-year-old Gail Rohrbacher of Delmont twice in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Shumaker was ordered to one year house arrest and three years of probation, but her sentence was allowed to be transferred back to her hometown of Philadelphia, Mississippi so that she can serve her sentence there.
