For the Greensburg Mayor’s race, incumbent Robert L. “Robb” Bell won a two-way race Tuesday for the Democratic nomination for mayor of Greensburg, receiving about 60 percent of the vote with all 15 precincts reporting. Challenger Jerry Vernail captured 38 percent of the vote. About 1 percent of the Democratic votes cast were write-ins, according to the unofficial results.
On the Republican ticket, Gerome Domenic Spino was the top candidate for the nomination over Jonathan O’Brien, with nearly 55 percent of the votes to about 30 percent. Republican write-ins represented about 15 percent of the vote. Spino will face Bell for the position in the fall.
