A North Huntingdon man has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and other charges stemming from a July 28, 2022 standoff with authorities.
The Trib reports that 42-year-old Adam Plecenik was ordered to serve up to 23 months in prison and five years of probation. He was charged in connection with the six-hour standoff that came when police responded to a 911 call from Plecenik stating that a man was at the rear of his Ivanhoe Drive home wearing a camo suit and armed with a .30-06 rifle. When patrolmen arrived, a shot was fired from inside the home.
No one else was found inside the residence when Plecenik eventually surrendered peacefully to police. Before that happened, state police deployed an armored vehicle to the scene, cordoned off the area and discharged tear gas and flash bang grenades.
