Police say that a Jeannette man took money he earned in a drug deal and gambled it away at a casino in Hempfield. The Trib reports that drug charges along with charges of money laundering and receiving stolen property were filed against 48-year-old Craig Stout, Jr. in relation to a controlled buy made in October.
Police worked with a confidential informant to purchase Adderall from Stout. He offered to take the informant’s cash and retrieve crystal meth from another source, but investigators followed him to the Live! Casino where he gambled away $173 of the $200, he was given to get the crystal meth.
Stout was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison on $75,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for June 15th.
