One person died as a roof on a building in Blairsville collapsed on Wednesday.
Blairsville police chief Lou Sacco confirmed that two men were on the roof of a former school building on South Walnut Street inspecting it for demolition when the roof gave way under them, sending both men three floors down. One person was able to get out and was taken to Forbes Hospital in Monroeville in stable condition, while the other victim was flown to UPMC Presbyterian, where he was pronounced dead.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
