Westmoreland Commissioner Gina Cerilli Thrasher was confirmed on Tuesday to fill a vacancy on the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
The Trib reports that the appointment was made by Governor Josh Shapiro. The board serves as the judicial body that rules on appeals of decisions filed by the state’s 90 workers’ compensation judges. The position may require her to resign as Commissioner, and set off a process to find someone to fill her term.
