A man from Stahlstown was killed Saturday morning in a crash in Derry Township.
The Trib reports that the crash happened at 6 AM at the intersection of Route 711 and Freeman Road. The victim was identified at 86-year-old Thomas Nusser, whose car crossed the center line and collided with a Dodge Nitro head-on.
Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson said that Nusser was not wearing a seatbelt, and after being thrown from the car, he was hit by it. The other driver had unknown injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
