An Alabama man pleaded guilty to a charge of vehicular homicide on Monday.
The Trib reports that 60-year-old Jim Adamson of Goodwater, Alabama said in court yesterday to the family of Martin Susa of New Kensington that he made a bad lack of judgement for the incident where Adamson hit Susa’s motorcycle with his pickup truck at an intersection in New Kensington. Police claimed Adamson was looking at a cell phone at the time of the crash and told investigators he believed the traffic light was green as he approached the intersection and thought Susa’s motorcycle had sped up after he heard it engage its engine.
Adamson was ordered to serve two years of probation, including nine months of house arrest that he will serve back home in Alabama.
