A man from Somerset County was sentenced yesterday for killing a Hempfield man while he was riding his bike. The Trib reports that 45-year-old Adam Ulrich pleaded guilty in May to charges of vehicular homicide connected with a crash that resulted in the death of Jason Zollinger in October of 2019.
Police at the time said that Ulrich hit Zollinger from behind and that at the time of the morning crash was under the influence of a combination of drugs, including methadone, clonazepam and Xanax. Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Meghan Billik-Defazio ordered him to serve five to ten years in prison.
