Bail was set for a Chicago man who is allegedly part of a multicounty catalytic converter theft ring.
The Trib reports that 32-year-old Christian Buie was ordered to serve three $250,000 straight cash bonds to be released from prison before his trial. Investigators say Buie,along with 42-year-old Antonio Johnson and 29-year-old Harold Wade, also from Chicago, reportedly stole catalytic converters from dealerships in North Huntingdon, North Fayette and Moon, along with parked cars throughout the region.
