The National Weather Service has put a heat advisory in place today from 11 AM to 9 PM.
While temperatures will get to the lower 90’s today, humidity will make it feel like the temperatures are over 100. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat-related illnesses. People are advised to stay hydrated, stay out of the sun and in an air-conditioned environment, and check on neighbors and relatives. OSHA is also advising that those working outside take frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool, shaded location and someone should call 911.
