A memorial honoring the legacy of a Westmoreland County teen who volunteered as a firefighter is now on display.
Family and friends of Parker O’Shell gathered for a dedication ceremony for the piece at the New Stanton Volunteer Fire Department this past Sunday.
Childhood friend Devon Hawk says he worked on finding the money for the memorial himself because wanted to make sure Parker’s dedication to serving was never forgotten.
O’Shell passed away at the age of 16 last December after suffering from complications brought on by a seizure.
