The McCali Manor in Mt. Pleasant that was damaged in a stove fire in April will be torn down.
The Trib reports that owner Jane Altman plans to put the property up for sale after it is cleared. The blaze was reported around 3 p.m. at the West Main Street building in the town’s diamond at the center of town. The flames spread quickly, and firefighters were pulled out of the building when the roof collapsed.
The fire that started on the second floor and destroyed the apartment building and former restaurant was deemed accidental by a state police fire marshal.
