A Jeannette man was sentenced on Wednesday to serve five years in federal prison and three years of probation for illegal possession of a firearm.
The Trib reports that 27-year-old Kenyatta Jones was found in February of 2019 in Jeannette to have a pistol and ammunition, but was not allowed to as he had been convicted of receiving stolen property and a weapons violation in 2017. Prosecutors said in a sentencing memorandum that at the time of Jones’ arrest in Jeannette, he had about 90 stamp bags of heroin and fentanyl in his pockets.
