PennDOT has confirmed that Route 356 will reopen sooner than expected.
The Trib reports that the road has been closed for the last three years for a $15.9 million PennDOT project that began in 2020 to improve the highway’s connection to the Freeport Bridge near the township’s River Forest neighborhood, across from Freeport.
The project was expected to wrap up in mid-November of this year, but because of progress, it could reopen as soon as this Friday.
