A Bolivar man escaped injury after shots were fired during a domestic dispute at their home in St. Clair.
The Trib reports that the incident happened around noon on Sunday as Justin McDowell went to his home on Pennsylvania Lane to retrieve tools and other items while his separated wife, Fauna, was not at home. She showed up and allegedly confronted him. After he pulled a handgun to stop her from pulling items from his pickup truck, she went inside, retrieved a shotgun, and fired two shots at the pickup truck, nearly hitting him.
Both are charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and other crimes, while he faces additional charges of terroristic threats and simple assault. Both are being held in county jail.
