State police in Westmoreland County are looking for the driver responsible in a hit-and-run collision that happened last Friday night in Derry Township.
Troopers said that the accident happened shortly after 9:00 PM on Greenfield Road near the Derry Township Municipal Building. 23-year-old Daemian Keener of Derry was riding his bike south along the fog line when he was hit by the rearview mirror of a silver sedan that approached him from behind. After impact, the driver left going in an unknown direction.
Keener suffered minor injuries and was treated on-scene by ambulance personnel. Police recovered a plastic cover of a vehicle mirror at the scene. Those who have any information on the crash are encouraged to call Trooper John Prunier at the state police at 724-697-5780.
