A Las Vegas man was sentenced on Wednesday to a year of probation for using counterfeit credit cards with stolen bank account information to buy gift cards at Sam’s Club locations in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties.
The Trib reports that 31-year-old Hector Gutierrez was ordered to serve six months of his probation on house arrest. He pleaded guilty in July to a charge of conspiracy. As part of his punishment, he must pay $170,000 in restitution.
