A Latrobe man was charged by state police with leading them on a chase through Unity Saturday night.
The Trib reports that 32-year-old Zachary Bowman was driving on Route 981 around 11 PM and police saw his car weaving. When police tried to pull him over, he sped off and lead police on the chase that ended at the intersection of Route 130 and Pleasant Unity Mutual Road when his vehicle ran over a set of spike strips. Bowman was picked up after he tried to flee police on foot.
He is now in Westmoreland County Prison on $15,000 bond, with a preliminary hearing set for January 8th.
