A man found in a North Huntingdon motel with a runaway teen was convicted of drug and gun counts.
The Trib reports that 42-year-old Robert Easley, formerly of Ohio, was convicted of a felony firearms offense, possession of a stolen gun and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A corruption of minors charge was dropped. Easley was found by police at the Hiland Terrace Motel in June of 2022 with a runaway from Beaver County.
Investigators said the gun and drugs were found in the room, along with the 16-year-old girl, who was not identified during the trial. He claimed the drugs and paraphernalia that were found were planted by police. Easley’s bond was revoked and he will be in Westmoreland County Jail until his sentencing hearing in about three months.
