Officials with the union representing over 500 Westmoreland County workers will vote on a new labor agreement early next week.
The Trib reports that officials on Thursday confirmed a tentative agreement had been reached between the county and the union. Neither side would confirm details, but both sides did say that raises will increase by 17% over the next three years. Wages have been a sticking point in negotiations. SEIU officials say that the union will vote on the new agreement on Monday.
Last week, the union gave notice to the county that they intended to start striking on February 2nd.
