An East Huntingdon man was shot in a confrontation with state troopers on Sunday. The Trib reports that 61-year-old Jim Miller was firing guns throughout the day on Sunday at his home off Route 819. By 9:30 that night, a neighbor reported a broken window and a bullet fragment in their home. Two troopers canvassed the area, and when they went to question Miller, he confronted them with an assault rifle in his hand. After refusing to drop the weapon, Miller fired a shot at the troopers. The Troopers returned fire and a shot hit him in the torso. Miller was taken to AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville for treatment. Investigators are still working to determine what charges he will face.
