Westmoreland County officials are continuing efforts to hire a new warden for the county jail. The Trib reports that Commissioners said during a jail board meeting on Monday that a new warden could be hired as soon as February. The former warden, Bryan Kline, resigned back in September amid concerns about the county jail that included personnel issues and a critical state inspection. Kline said he resigned to focus on his academic studies. Five people have applied for the job.
