RETIRED GS TEACHER DISPLAYING ART COLLECTION

A man who spent nearly four decades teaching English at Greensburg Salem High School is shifting his focus to creating art.  Al Sanfilippo has paintings and drawings from his “Seasons of Color” collection on display at the Greensburg-Hempfield Area Library.  Pieces made by the 81-year-old artist range in medium from watercolors and acrylics to pastels and more, with many featuring landscapes and nature scenes.  “Seasons of Color” runs through mid-March as part of the library’s “Picture This” feature.
