VANDERGRIFT MAN FOUND GUILTY OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

After over five hours of deliberation, a Westmoreland County Jury found a Vandegrift man guilty of sexually assaulting two children.  The Trib reports that 38-year-old Timothy Robert Johnson was found guilty of nine felony counts related to sexual assaults of an 8-year-old child that took place over a six year period starting in 2015.  In a second case, he was convicted of molesting a 13-year-old child in September of 2021 at the River Forest Yacht Club.  Johnson will remain in jail pending a sentencing hearing that will be held in about three months before Common Pleas Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio.
