MURDER SUSPECT TO HAVE PRELIMINARY HEARING THIS MORNING

The suspect in the killing of a pub owner in Lower Burrell will have a preliminary hearing this morning.  The Trib reports that 45-year-old Nathan Salem is charged with first-degree murder and criminal homicide charges in the death of David “Mogie” Magill on December 21st.  Police have yet to release what the motive was behind the shooting.  Salem has been in Westmoreland County Jail since his arrest as bail was denied.
