A fire department in Hempfield has suspended all services effective immediately. WTAE-TV reports that High Park fire department took to its Facebook page to announce the suspension of services, saying that the current service agreement with Hempfield Township is “100 percent one-sided” and that the township fire chief was forcing the department to merge with the Grapeville fire company despite the wishes of High Park firefighters.
