The Jeannette City School Board is approving a plan to reduce some of the rules around student clothing in the district. On Monday, the board unanimously voted in favor of a dress code that includes many fewer restrictions than the previous policy. School directors already suspended the dress code late last year, saying it was a burden on many families to buy specific clothing items that were approved. Some rules, like keeping pants up to waist level and covering shoulders, are still in place.
