RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT IN NEW KEN TO SAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS PER YEAR

Wesley Family Services is expected to save thousands of dollars per year through a renewable energy project in New Kensington. The company has had a solar panel system installed at their Pioneer Apartments property on Fourth Avenue. The charitable West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund provided a grant of roughly 170-thousand dollars to cover the bulk of the system installation costs. The company that installed the equipment says they think the solar power generated at the building will save Wesley Family Services about 28-thousand dollars annually.
