1-70 LANE RESTRICTIONS

Lane restrictions on I-70 have been extended through Friday. The Trib reports that the single lane restrictions on Eastbound and Westbound I-70 in Rostraver will be from 6 AM to 6 PM each day. The eastbound restriction is in effect between the North Belle Vernon and Route 51 South/Uniontown exits while the westbound restriction is in place between the Route 51 South and Monessen exits. The restrictions are related to paving work by contractor Golden Triangle that is part of a $120.6 million project to widen lanes on a section of I-70 and reconfigure the interchange with Route 51. The overall project has a projected completion date of October of 2027.
