The CEO of the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium is scheduled to make public remarks today about the deaths of five animals in the zoo’s care in recent months. In the last seven months, the zoo has reported the deaths of a gorilla, an elephant, a red panda and a lion. The death of an 18-year-old sea lion named Seahawk was reported just last week.
