An Everson man entered guilty pleas on Monday to charges connected with the assault of a Lyft driver in 2022. The Trib reports that 43-year-old Carl Beltz entered guilty pleas to theft,simple assault and resisting arrest. State troopers reported in arrest papers being called to Zabie Lane off Route 30 at 12:20 a.m. March 20, 2022 where the Lyft driver said he drove Beltz from The Filly Gentlemen’s Club in South Huntingdon, a 17-mile trip. The driver reported that Beltz became irate over an onboard video camera, and grabbed a cord that was connected to LED lights on the floor. Beltz also tried to run away from police in the parking lot at Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital.
