An open-burn ban is in effect throughout the Keystone State. State officials say the ban – which was imposed yesterday-reportedly comes as three Pennsylvania counties – Allegheny, Beaver and Washington – are listed at a moderate risk for dangerous fires due to what authorities are calling “strong and dry spring winds” throughout the state. The remainder of the state reportedly is at a low risk for wildfire. State officials say Pennsylvania has 17 million acres of public and private wild lands.
