HOBBY LOBBY LEASE TERMINATED, MONROEVILLE CONVENTION CENTER TO LIVE ON

The Monroeville Convention Center will live on. Weeks after the center’s owner notified organizers of events scheduled to take place at the venue later this year that the venue would close, officials say those plans have been changed. The property that was to be developed into a Hobby Lobby will continue to operate as the Monroeville Convention Center. Mayor Nick Gresock says the Hobby Lobby lease has been terminated and that a long-term arrangement for the convention center is in development. Gresock says Monroeville is very committed to helping Hobby Lobby find a new location.
