Derry Borough Council and the local police department have come to terms on a new three-year contract. The Trib reports that officers will receive a 25 cent per hour raise in each year of the contract, with part-timers eligible for paid time off and time and a half for overtime. Sgt. Doug Sam, who is the acting chief, said that the department was happy with the contract, and said that any delays were due to scheduling conflicts for the attorneys involved.
