BLAIRSVILLE FAMILY DISPLACED BY FIRE

A family in Blairsville was displaced by a fire Monday morning. Crews from Westmoreland and Indiana county were called out to North Liberty Street at 9:45 am for the fire that started in the front right corner of the house. After someone smelled smoke, one resident discovered that there was a fire on the first floor and on the front porch of the home. The home was gutted. The family is staying with friends. The cause is unknown but it is not believed to be suspicious.
