A community rally was held yesterday to raise funds for the family affected by the fire that killed five people and destroy two homes in Jeannette. The Trib reports that the event raised money for Miranda John and her two children, who survived the fire that took her husband and five other children. Several food trucks were joined by the Salvation Army canteen and a DJ just outside the American Legion. So far, over $100,000 was raised via a GoFundMe campaign. Grapeville fire department will also hold a fundraiser for the family on April 20th.
