ROAD CLOSURES START NEXT WEEK NEAR NEW KENSINGTON BRIDGE

Another round of road closures will start next week near the New Kensington Bridge. The Trib reports that the northbound lane of Freeport Road will close Monday starting at 9 AM for crews to paint and replace fences. The bridge, spanning the Allegheny River between East Deer and New Kensington, will get a latex overlay, structural steel and concrete substructure repairs, painting, expansion dam replacement, installation of new lights and minor approach road work.
