PERSON IN CUSTODY AFTER SALEM TOWNSHIP POLICE CHASE

A police chase came to an end on Route 22 with one person taken into custody.  The Trib reports that the chase started with a traffic stop in Salem and fled west into Murrysville around 1:30 PM.  The suspect veered into oncoming traffic several times before authorities performed a PIT maneuver to push the vehicle sideways.  State and Murrysville police and County Detectives were part of the chase.  No charges were filed.
