A nurse accused of killing patients in her care with overdoses of insulin will spend the rest of her life in prison The Trib reports that Heather Presdee of Harrison pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree murder and 19 counts of attempted homicide in Butler County Court. 17 patients died under her care at nursing homes in Westmoreland, Butler and Armstrong Counties between December of 2020 and May of 2023. Family members of the victims were able to offer impact statements to Judge Joseph Kubit. She was ordered to serve three consecutive life terms in prison without parole and an additional 380 to 760 years in prison.
