INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY INTO MONETARY THEFT FROM NORTH HUNTINGDON PA ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE

The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s office has announced an investigation is underway into some stolen money from the PA Attorney General’s office in North Huntingdon.  The Trib reports that the money was reported missing from the AG’s bureau of Narcotics Investigation and Drug Control office.  Not only does that office handle cases and investigations in Westmoreland and six other counties, the office serves as a base of operations for the AG’s narcotics investigation task force, a regional strike force and a clandestine lab.  The DA’s office is saying that the investigation is being handled by county detectives.
